چکیده

A series of poly(o-/m-toluidine-co-o-/m-chloroaniline) copolymers of different compositions were synthesized by an emulsion method with ammonium persulfate as the oxidant. The conductivity of the copolymers was two to five orders of magnitude higher than that of the homopolymers poly(o-toluidine) and poly(m-chloroaniline). Among the copolymers, the copolymer of o-toluidine and m-chloroaniline exhibited a maximum conductivity of 0.14 S cm . The conductivity of these copolymers was also higher than that of poly(aniline-co-chloroaniline). The properties of the copolymers were greatly influenced by the positions of the substituents and the concentrations of the individual monomers in the feed. All the copolymers were completely soluble in polar solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide and showed higher heat stability as the chloroaniline concentration increased. These effects could be interpreted in terms of extensive hydrogen bonding and interchain linking and, therefore, higher electron delocalization in these copolymers due to the presence of electron-rich toluidine rings adjacent to electron-deficient chloroaniline.

Synthesis and characterization of poly (AAm-co-AAc)/NaA nanocomposite and removal of methylene blue with it

The nanocomposites of poly (Acryl amide-co-Acrylic acid) with different contents of NaAzeolite were prepared using ammonium persulfate as an initiator and N, N′-methylenebisacrylamide as the crosslinker. The morphology was characterized by SEM and the structure ofnanocomposite materials was studied with XRD and FT-IR that showed the interaction betweenporous materials and poly (AAm-co-Aac). The...

Synthesis and Characterization of Indoline-based organic sensitizers for photoelectrochemical cells

In this paper we designed and prepared three free-metal organic days Dye 1, Dye 2 and Dye 3 based on indoline with n-phenly substituents iminodibenzyl as the electron donor group. We used cyanoacrylic acid substituent as the electron acceptor anchoring group in organic dyes. The proposed dyes were prepared from iminodibenzyl as the starting material by standard reactions and characterized by di...

Synthesis, characterization and swelling behavior investigation of gelatin-g-Poly(Acrylic Acid-co-Itaconic Acid)

A novel pH-responsive superabsorbent hydrogel based on gelatin was prepared through crosslinking copolymerization of poly (acrylic acid) and poly (itaconic acid). The copolymerization conditions including monomers, initiator, gelatin and crosslinker concentration, reaction temperature, and neutralization percent were systematically optimized to achieve a hydrogel with swelling capacity as high ...

Chromism and molecular weight of polyaniline derivatives

The striking solvatochromic shift observed in polyaniline derivatives correlates with two solvent polarity scales, donor number (DN) and hydrogen bond acceptor scale (Taft’s ˇ-scale). The large shift is caused by conformational changes in solution that result in dramatic differences in relative molecular weight values obtained by gel permeation chromatography (MWGPC) in different solvents. For ...
